North Dakota has medical cannabis. Small amounts decriminalized (under 0.5 oz is infraction, $1000 fine). Recreational failed in 2018 and 2022.

North Dakota approved medical cannabis in 2016 (Measure 5). Patients may possess up to 2.5 oz. DECRIMINALIZED (2019): Possession under 0.5 oz is infraction - max $1000 fine, no jail. 0.5-500g is Class B misdemeanor (up to 30 days). Over 500g is felony. Recreational legalization failed 2018 (Measure 3), 2022 (Measure 2), and 2024 (Measure 5). NDCC §19-03.1.
