Alaska legalized recreational cannabis in 2014 (Ballot Measure 2), effective February 2015. Adults 21+ may possess up to 1 oz and cultivate up to 6 plants (3 mature) at home. Licensed dispensaries operating. PUBLIC CONSUMPTION PROHIBITED - fines up to $100. Cannot consume within 20 feet of dispensaries. DUI: impairment-based, no per se THC limit. Federal land rules apply in Denali and other parks. Local option allows communities to restrict sales. AS 17.38.
