Mississippi has medical cannabis (since 2022). Recreational is ILLEGAL - under 30g is misdemeanor fine only (decriminalized). Over 30g has jail time.

Mississippi approved medical cannabis via Initiative 65 (2020, struck down) then SB 2095 (2022). Patients may possess 3 oz per month. DECRIMINALIZED (1978): First-offense possession of 30g or less is a $100-$250 fine only, no jail, no public criminal record (repeat offenses within 2 years bring jail time). 30g-250g can be charged as a misdemeanor (up to 1 year, $1,000 fine) or a felony (up to 3 years, $3,000 fine). Over 250g is always a felony. Miss. Code §41-29-139.
