CANNABIS TRANSPORT RULES

FEDERAL LAW - NO INTERSTATE TRANSPORT
CRITICAL: Transporting cannabis across state lines is a federal crime regardless of legality in either state.

This includes:
• Driving from one legal state to another
• Flying (TSA is federal)
• Trains (Amtrak is federal)
• Buses crossing state lines
• Mail/shipping (USPS, UPS, FedEx)

WITHIN NEW JERSEY
Legal transport if:

• Sealed in original dispensary packaging
• In trunk or locked container
• Not accessible to driver
• Within possession limits
• 21+ (or valid medical card)

FLYING WITH CANNABIS
DO NOT fly with cannabis even within legal states:
• TSA is federal law enforcement
• All airports are under federal jurisdiction
• Discovery leads to federal prosecution or local police referral

RENTAL CARS
All major rental companies prohibit cannabis:
• Violation of rental agreement
• May result in cleaning fees
• Could lose membership/privileges

WHAT IF STOPPED?
If pulled over:
• Keep cannabis in trunk/sealed container
• Do not consent to searches (know your rights)

BORDER STATES

• National Forests (USFS)

• Federal buildings
