Warning
New Hampshire Fishing & Hunting License
New Hampshire requires license for both. Sunday hunting is allowed (no day-of-week hunting restriction). Moose permits by lottery. Pheasant stocking program.
FISHING: License required age 16+ ($25 resident, $53 non-resident). Saltwater registration free. HUNTING: License required ($15 resident, $103 non-resident). Sunday hunting is allowed in New Hampshire — NH does not restrict hunting by day of week (unlike neighboring Maine and Massachusetts, which ban Sunday hunting entirely). Turkey: spring and fall. MOOSE permits by lottery only - sharply reduced in recent years to roughly 30-35 permits statewide per season (2025-2026), down from historical highs, due to population-management concerns (winter tick mortality). Pheasant stocked on WMAs. Hunter education required. RSA 214.
