South Carolina requires license for both. Sunday hunting prohibited on WMAs; allowed on private land statewide. Liberal deer limits. Alligator by lottery.

FISHING: License required age 16+ ($10 resident, $35 non-resident). Saltwater license separate. HUNTING: License required ($12 resident, $125 non-resident (nonresidents hunting alligator also pay a separate $200 Nonresident Alligator Hunting Fee)). Big game permit required. Deer: very liberal limits (varies by zone - up to 10+ in some areas). Sunday hunting is prohibited on WMA lands (unless otherwise specified); on private land statewide, Sunday hunting is legal for all game with no time-of-day restriction. Turkey: 3 per season. ALLIGATOR harvest by lottery. Hunter education required. S.C. Code §50-9.
