Hunting License & Hunter Education

HUNTING LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

HUNTER EDUCATION

Wisconsin Fishing & Hunting License

Wisconsin requires license for both. "Great Lakes" stamp for Great Lakes. Deer by Deer Management Unit. Turkey spring and fall.

FISHING: License required age 16+ ($20 resident, $50 non-resident). Great Lakes/Lake Michigan trout/salmon stamp required. Inland trout stamp available. HUNTING: License required ($20 resident, $160 non-resident). Deer: managed by unit, buck tags available, antlerless by lottery in some units. Turkey: spring (zones by preference) and fall. Bear permits by lottery with waiting period. Hunter education required. Wis. Stat. §29.024.
