FISHING: Basic license required ($17 resident, $68 non-resident). Saltwater license additional. HUNTING: Basic license required ($20 resident, $200 non-resident). Big game license for deer/turkey. Deer tags: 6 per season. Turkey: 2 per spring season. ALLIGATOR harvest is mainly via landowner-issued tags on qualifying private wetland acreage, plus a separate public lottery for hunters without land access; season runs late August (East Zone) or early September (West Zone) through December 31. WMA permit required for public lands. Hunter education required. RS 56:301.
