Hunting License & Hunter Equipment Regulations

In Iowa, hunters must have a hunter education certificate and appropriate licenses and tags for specific species. Tree stands placed on public land must display a metal plate with the owner's department-issued ID. All traps and snares must have a metal tag with the user's ID or name and address. Traps and snares, except those underwater, must be checked every 24 hours. Seasons are strictly enforced.
