Arizona defines Class 1/2/3 e-bikes (A.R.S. 28-101) and gives e-bike and electric standup scooter riders the rights and duties of bicyclists with no state age, helmet, license, or registration requirement (A.R.S. 28-819); Class 1/2 e-bikes and standup scooters may use bike and multiuse paths unless a local authority prohibits them, while Class 3 e-bikes are barred from such paths except where the path is within or adjacent to a highway or roadway or the local authority allows it.
