State Parks Require Registration - DC Buffer Zone

Maryland State Parks require drone registration. Close to DC Special Flight Rules Area.

Maryland requires registration to fly in State Parks. Much of the state is in DC SFRA/FRZ buffer zone - requires authorization. Baltimore cannot enact its own drone ordinance — Md. Code, Economic Development §14-301 gives the State exclusive authority to regulate drones and expressly supersedes/preempts any existing county or municipal drone ordinance. Assateague Island NS prohibits drones. Cannot fly over correctional facilities. Annapolis and Naval Academy areas restricted.
