TYPES OF CONSUMER FIREWORKS
Generally Legal (where permitted):
• Fountains, cones, sparklers
• Roman candles, mines
• Aerial shells (where legal)
• Firecrackers (where legal)
Always Illegal:
• M-80s, cherry bombs, quarter sticks
• Any homemade fireworks
• Professional-grade fireworks
LOCAL RESTRICTIONS
Many cities/counties have stricter rules:
• Total bans (fire danger, noise)
• Limited dates (July 4th weekend only)
• Hour restrictions (9pm or 10pm curfews)
• Distance from structures
FIRE DANGER RESTRICTIONS
During fire season/drought:
• May be temporarily banned
• Check fire department notices
• Penalties increase during bans
SAFE USE GUIDELINES
1. Never give to children
2. Never throw at people/animals
3. Keep water nearby
4. Light one at a time
5. Never relight "duds"
6. Dispose properly (soak in water)

• Fines: $100 - $5,000
• Possible criminal charges
• Liability for injuries/property damage
