Pennsylvania Fireworks Laws
Pennsylvania allows consumer fireworks (since 2017). Local restrictions may apply. Age 18+.
Pennsylvania legalized consumer fireworks in 2017. Age 18+ to purchase. State imposes a 12% consumer fireworks tax IN ADDITION to the standard 6% state sales tax (total tax burden is roughly 18%, not a combined 12%). Local municipalities may restrict or ban. Philadelphia has restrictions. 3 Pa.C.S. Ch. 11 (§§1101-1115), the fireworks law recodified by Act 74 of 2022; the prior 72 P.S. §8101 citation no longer resolves.
