Illinois Food Truck Regulations

State food service sanitation license. Chicago has extensive regulations.

Illinois DPH requires food service sanitation license for mobile units. Chicago has comprehensive food truck ordinance - permits required, GPS tracking mandated, 200ft from restaurants rule (contested but enforced), designated vending areas. Must return to commissary daily. Springfield permits available. Fire department approval for propane. Two inspections per year in Chicago.
