Federal rules apply in all National Parks: no drones, pets restricted to developed areas, campfires in designated areas only, Leave No Trace principles required.
NPS regulations (36 CFR) apply in all 63 national parks. PETS: Must be on 6-foot leash, prohibited on most trails and in backcountry. CAMPFIRES: Only in designated fire rings/grills unless prohibited by fire restrictions. CAMPING: Permit required for backcountry; frontcountry requires reservation. ALCOHOL: Generally allowed but prohibited in some areas. DRONES: Banned in all national parks (36 CFR 1.5). Leave No Trace principles encouraged but not legally mandated.
